Its no bridgeport, about 60% the size of one. i beleive the ways were ground and then very lightly flaked to help hold waylube. What specifically do you need to know? Listen to the spindle under power. Any funny noises?

I have recently purchased a mid 1960's us Burke millrite. However the (y) table screw backlash is over . 025". I was able to find the split nut on the X axis and was able to reduce that free play to under. 005".

Looking at a Burke Powermatic Millrite MVN for purchase.

Finally trying to hunt down a mill for the shop. Looked at a MVN and it looks very clean, sadly in Phoenix area used mill for fair prices are not found. While they do not sell very well they all seem over priced. But not really wanting the travel and transport of a machine 400 miles away...
